Two paddles, four outdoor balls, one zip bag. Everything two people need.

Before you buy this, read this

Kmart, Big W and Target all sell a two-paddle pickleball set for about A$15. If the cheapest possible way to try pickleball is what you want, go and buy one of those today — no shipping wait, and you can return it to a counter. We'd rather tell you that than take A$45 off you and have you find out on your own.

What you're paying the difference for here: four outdoor balls rather than a mix of indoor and outdoor, a zip case rather than a drawstring sack, and it turns up at your door. That's it. That's the honest list.

What's in the box

  • 2 × pickleball paddles — poplar wood face, cushioned grip
  • 4 × outdoor pickleballs
  • 1 × zip carry bag

What wood paddles are and aren't

These weigh roughly 255–310g against 200–230g for a composite paddle. That extra weight sits away from your hand, so the paddle is slower to redirect at the net and pushes more shock into your wrist. The face is smooth, so you get very little spin.

They're genuinely good for learning on, for kids, and for the mate who turns up empty-handed. They are quieter than composite paddles, which matters more than you'd think if you have close neighbours. If you play weekly, or you have any elbow history, buy a Sidekick instead.

Paddle artwork varies — they're UV-printed and you may not get the pattern in the photo.

You don't need court lines. Footpath chalk marks a full court in ten minutes and washes off in the rain. We're not going to sell you something a hardware shop does better.

Before you buy

How long will it take to arrive?

10–16 business days, tracked, to every Australian postcode. We make our gear overseas and ship it direct instead of holding Australian stock — that is the whole reason a complete kit is A$69 rather than A$150. If you need it for a specific weekend, order three weeks ahead. If it has not turned up in 25 business days, email us and we resend or refund.

What if I change my mind?

You have 30 days from delivery. The gear needs to be unused and in its original packaging, and return postage is at your cost. Email us first and we will send the address. If something arrives faulty or damaged, that one is on us — send a photo and we replace or refund in full, postage included.

Will several items arrive together?

Usually not. Each item ships from the supplier that makes it, so a paddle and a net will almost never turn up in the same parcel or on the same day. You are not charged extra for this, and every parcel is tracked separately.

Are you Australian made?

Australian owned, not Australian made. Our gear is manufactured overseas — like almost all pickleball equipment sold here — so we do not claim otherwise.
