How we compare

Most shops hope you don't check. We'd rather do it for you.

Want the cheapest way in?

Kmart, Big W and Target sell a two-paddle set for about A$15. Buy one today, return it to a counter if you hate it. We'd rather say so than pretend otherwise.

Playing tournaments?

The Franklin X-40 is the official ball of Pickleball Australia, about A$4 from Australian specialists. Our balls are practice balls and we price them accordingly.

Want to hold it first?

Sydney has shops with hitting walls where you can try a paddle before buying. If paddle feel matters to you, go there. We can't offer that and won't pretend we can.

Four minutes to a game

1 · Open the box

Two paddles, four outdoor balls and a zip bag. That's the lot.

2 · Chalk the lines

A few dollars of footpath chalk marks a full court in ten minutes and washes off in the rain. We don't sell it. You don't need us to.

3 · Learn it in a minute

Serve underarm, stay out of the kitchen, first to 11. That's genuinely most of it.

4 · Play

That's it. You're playing pickleball in your own driveway.

How to check

How much space do you need?

A full court is 13.41m by 6.10m. Whether that fits a standard Australian double driveway, and what to do if it doesn't.

The Paddleroo promise

Play it once, then decide

Open the box, have a hit. If it's not for you, send it back within 30 days.

If it's faulty, that's on us

Send a photo and we'll replace it or refund you in full, postage included. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply on top of anything we promise here.

We'll tell you not to buy from us

If a department store or a Sydney shop is the better answer for you, that's what the guides say. We'd rather lose the sale than the trust.
